Jim Houston – President
General Manager – The Golf Club at South Hampton
Jim Houston has been a resident of Ponte Vedra Beach since 1986. He started in the golf business as an Assistant Golf Professional at TPC Sawgrass in 1998. He later served as an Assistant Professional at the Plantation at Ponte Vedra and Pablo Creek Club. After being elected to membership in the PGA of America in 2004, he became a Director of Golf at Matanzas Woods in Palm Coast. Jim was then transferred to The Golf Club at North Hampton in 2005, as the Director of Golf and General Manager. In 2008, he became the General Manager of the Eagle Harbor Golf Club and was promoted to the North Florida Regional Manager for Hampton Golf. In 2012, Jim accepted an opportunity to become the General Manager of The Golf Club at South Hampton.
Matt Borocz – Vice President
Assistant General Manager – TPC Sawgrass
Matt Borocz started with the TPC Network in 1999 in the outside operations department at TPC Myrtle Beach. In 2002 he was promoted to Assistant Golf Professional. Matt had the opportunity to transfer to TPC Sawgrass in 2004 as an Assistant Golf Professional and promoted to Head Golf Professional in May 2007. In August 2013 Matt was promoted to Assistant General Manager/Director of Golf. Matt’s hometown is Strongsville, OH, which is just southwest of Cleveland, OH. Matt attended Coastal Carolina University in Conway, SC and graduated in 2002 with a BSBA in Marketing/Specializing in Professional Golf Management. Matt has been a member of the PGA of America since 2004 and received the 2014 Golf Professional of the Year award from the American Junior Golf Association.
Steve Horner – Treasurer
Steve Horner is a lifelong resident of the north Florida and has played in virtually all local junior golf tournaments (Elks Tour, JAGA, etc.) and competed three years for Fletcher High School.
Graduated from the University of North Florida and was a member of the collegiate golf team. After graduation, Steve turned professional and was golf professional at the Ponte Vedra Golf & Country Club (formerly Oak Bridge) for four years. He then took a job with the PGA TOUR and has been with the organization for over twenty-six years. Steve currently holds the position of Vice President, Title Sponsor Relations.
Steve is an avid golfer and has competed in a variety of national and state level amateur events over the years. He was a champion of the local Gate Petroleum PGA Invitational in 1987 and 2001 and has competed in eight Underwood Cup PGA Pro vs. Amateur Matches. In 2008 and 2009, Steve had the honor of captaining the Amateur Team during these prestigious matches.
He and his wife, Shay, have two children and currently reside in Ponte Vedra Beach.

Bill Hughes has been with the TPC Network since September 1996, and has assumed the duties of General Manager at the TPC at Southwind and the TPC at River’s Bend. In 2003 he was transferred to TPC at Craig Ranch to oversee its opening and be the General Manager. Bill was promoted to Regional Director, Operations in 2002 and is responsible for oversight of the TPC at Craig Ranch, TPC at Southwind, TPC at Sugarloaf and the TPC at Wakefield Plantation. Most recently he has taken on the task of General Manager at TPC Sawgrass. Bill Hughes turned professional in 1979, worked as a Head Professional at Shawnee Country Club in Lima, Ohio and later accepted the position of General Manager/Director of Golf at Country Acres Golf Club in Ottawa, Ohio. Bill has been a member of the PGA of America since 1984 and a PGA Master Professional since 1995. In 2015 Bill Hughes was awarded the Northern Chapter PGA, North Florida Section and the PGA of America National Bill Strausbaugh Award for his outstanding role in mentorship.

Don is a native of Jacksonville Florida, and has been an insurance executive for over 35 years. He supported the Northeast Chapter of the PGA in many ways and has been active in the community with service on many boards to include the University of North Florida Foundation board from 1992-2012. Currently he is the President of the Board of Governors at San Jose Country Club.
Kevin Bing – Member at Large

Kevin grew up in the beaches community and has been a resident of Ponte Vedra since 1974. He graduated from Fletcher High School and Florida State University. He has been providing tax and accounting services in the Jacksonville area since 1989. Kevin and his wife Kathy have been married since 1993. They stay very busy raising their three children and being involved in their lives. They are active members of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Kevin served two terms on the School Board of Palmer Catholic Academy where he served on the finance committee and as Chairman. He was also on the Parish Council at St. Paul’s Catholic Church where he served on the finance committee. He has been a coach for many of his kid’s teams as they’ve played football, soccer, baseball, lacrosse, basketball, volleyball and cross country. Kevin is a C.P.A. and also holds Series 6, 7, and 66 securities licenses, and Florida Life, Health & Variable Annuity certifications.
Will Kurtz – Scholarship Chairman
Originally from the Central Florida area, Will joined the U.S. Navy a month after graduation from high school where he rose through the enlisted ranks and ultimately earned a commission as a Naval Officer. In 1998 the navy brought Will to Jacksonville where he continued to serve until his retirement in 2008. While in the navy, Will served in duty stations from Japan, to Hawaii, to the East Coast of the U.S. and conducted missions throughout the Western Pacific, Persian Gulf, and Counter-narcoterrorism Operations in the Caribbean and Eastern Pacific. Also, while serving in the navy Will earned his undergraduate degree from Auburn University and his law degree from Florida Coastal School of Law. After retiring he began his law career as an Assistant State Attorney with the 4th Judicial Circuit in Jacksonville. Will is currently a senior trial attorney with The Law Offices of Ronald E. Sholes, P.A. serving all of Florida. Will began playing golf as a 21 year old while stationed in Japan and quickly grew to love the sport. Although not nearly a professional, his love and respect for the game has transferred to his son Charlie who is an active participant in NFJG and other junior golf in Florida. Will and his wife Melissa have three children – Madison, Natalie and Charlie – and live in St. Johns County.
Emily Tillo – Member at Large
Emily is one of the NFJG TOUR Superstars and former staff member and is currently a Communications Coordinator at the PGA TOUR Headquarters in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. Emily played on the NFJG TOUR from 2007 to 2012 and played in 34 events, winning 12 times with a low round of one under par 71. After attending Stanton College Preparatory school in Jacksonville, Emily received golf and academic scholarships to Boston University. In May of 2013—after her freshman year of college—Emily joined forces with the NFJG TOUR and became a Rules Instructor and Rules Official working with the Tour during the summer months. She reunited with the NFJG TOUR Staff, helping them out during her days back in her hometown.
While at BU, Emily majored in finance and minored in journalism, and she graduated with a cumulative GPA of 3.94 in May of 2016. Five days after graduation, Emily started her full-time job at the PGA TOUR and has been loving every minute of it! Emily was named the 2014, 2015, and 2016 Patriot League Women’s Golf Scholar-Athlete of the Year, the 2016 Boston University Athletics Woman of the Year and the 2016 NCAA Woman of the Year Top-30 Honoree: After being named the Boston University Athletics Woman of the Year and the Patriot League Woman of the Year, she became the first student-athlete in Boston University history to be named one of the top-30 honorees for the NCAA’s Woman of the Year award. The award “honors the academic achievements, athletics excellence, community service and leadership of graduating female college athletes from all three divisions.” Ten women from each of the three NCAA divisions were selected from a pool of 142 conference nominees and an initial pool of 517 school nominees nationwide. Emily was also a member of the Scarlet Key Honor Society: she was one of 48 students in the class of 2016 (approximately 1% of the class) nominated for induction into this activities society at Boston University.
